South Australian Indian Medical Association (SAIMA) fundraising dinner, 2022
The South Australian Indian Medical Association (SAIMA) have been friends and supporters of Australasian Palliative Link International (APLI) for several years now. This year, the 2022 SAIMA annual charity gala dinner was held on Saturday 18 June at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
APLI has previously been the recipient of funds from this dinner in 2013, 2014 and 2019. SAIMA have raised many thousands of dollars over the years for APLI to support palliative care in India.
At the dinner, items were auctioned and raffle tickets were sold to raise funds for APLI. A video clip by Dr Ravi Kannan from Cachar Cancer Centre being interviewed by APLI member Joan Ryan was played at the dinner. APLI has supported 10 mentors in 7 trips to Cachar over the period 2012-2020.
The event raised over $7000 for APLI.
We at APLI want to express our deep gratitude to SAIMA and its chair person, Dr Seshu Boda for their support of APLI over many years.
