Western Pacific Palliative Care Advocacy Network
(WPPCAN)

The Western Pacific Palliative Care Advocacy Network (WPPCAN) was set up in September 2020 to provide a voice for palliative care in that region, recognising the significant lack of resources as well as extremely limited access to opioids for symptom management.

The current reference committee for WPPCAN is drawn from Australasian Palliative Link International (APLI); Australian and New Zealand Society of Palliative Medicine (ANZSPM); Centre for Humanitarian Leadership (CHL); International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC); Palliative Care Australia (PCA); and Paediatric Palliative Care Australia New Zealand (PaPCANZ).
